Originally from Massachusetts, Debra Hallow, CEO of the JARC Florida has been at the helm for 23 years. During that time JARC has grown from a program with three residential homes to a network of 10 residential homes located in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, a supported living apartment program, a community day training program as well as community case management, supported employment and social and recreational programs supporting adults with disabilities. She began her career at the Walter E. Fernald State School in Waltham, Massachusetts. The facility was the oldest in the United States built to house and segregate people with disabilities from the general community. Her unique perspective enabled her to create a vision, together with the dedicated board of JARC to insure that men and women with disabilities would be assured a life of independence, dignity and respect.
