Who We Are:

  • A community garden where clients with developmental and intellectual disabilities learn skills through horticulture
  • Vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbs are lovingly grown.  Clients learn the unique skill of growing a garden in South Florida
  • Everyone has the opportunity to eat some of the harvest and to learn about healthy food choices
  • We have accommodations for all gardners

  • Helps establish and strengthen social relationships while working as part of a group
  • Teaches vocational skills that can be applied in many work settings
  • It is valuable exercise done at a self-direction pace, enhancing both gross and fine motor skills
  • Teaches responsibility and encourages problem solving
